Risk Management
Woodinville Toddler Group operates under the guidelines of our Risk Management Manual. A copy of the manual is located in a binder on our Parent Education Library cart. All parents are asked to view the Safety Orientation Video on a yearly basis.
OPEP Safety Orientation Video
Please view the following video, which is part of our risk management plan.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Videos
This first video provides a brief tutorial into the use of an AED.
Sneeze Pocket
Children and adults are encouraged to use their “sneeze pocket”. This means coughing or sneezing into the crook of the arm instead of covering your mouth with your hand.
Washing Hands
Children and parents are required to wash hands upon arriving to Toddler Group, prior to snack, and after using the restroom. Woodinville Toddler encourages families to wash hands frequently in order to help prevent the spread of illness.
Hand washing steps:
Liquid soap and running water shall be used for hand washing.
Wet hands
Apply liquid soap
Wash-make bubbles
Hands should be washed for at least 20 seconds.
Dry with paper towel
Use a paper towel to turn off the water
Toy Cleaning
Toy cleaning buckets are located in each classroom for your convenience. Any mouthed toy must be placed in the bucket to be cleaned when the child is finished playing with it. Toys will be cleaned at the end of each class. Toys are never allowed in the restrooms.
Diapers
Diaper changing tables are located in both the men’s and the women’s restroom. Please spray the table after use with the bleach solution provided and wipe down with a clean paper towel. Plastic bags are also provided for dirty diapers. It is a health regulation that all dirty diapers must be taken home with you. Please wash hands before returning to class. Diapers may never be changed in the classroom or hallway and must always be changed on the changing tables.
Hot beverages and chewing gum are not allowed in class.
